TIMCO - Galvanised Clout Nails

Large diameter head, perfect for attaching roofing felt, slate and shingles

Provides medium levels of rust protection.

These nails have a wide, flat head. This enlarged surface area acts as a heavy-duty clamp, holding down soft or thin sheet materials securely so they cannot easily pull through or tear away under high winds.

The steel core is coated with a layer of zinc. This protective coating shields the underlying iron from moisture and rain, preventing ugly rust bleeding and structural weakening over years of outdoor exposure.

Common uses:

Pinning down shed roofing felt, shingle underlayments, and flat roof membranes.

Securing thin timber panels, trellis work, wire fencing, or corrugated sheeting.

Affixing hardboard, lath, or other soft timber sheet sub-layers where a standard wire nail head would pull right through.
