Grade 7 hinges.

 

Grade 7 hinges are BS EN 1935 certified butt hinges designed for medium-duty, high-frequency residential or light commercial use, typically supporting doors up to 40kg.

 

Ball bearing hinges are known for smooth and quiet operation.

 

These fire-rated (FD30/60) hinges are ideal for internal fire doors.

 

Key Features of Grade 7 Hinges:

 

Performance Rating: Classified under BS EN 1935, grade 7 ensures durability, generally tested for 200,000 cycles.

Load Capacity: Suitable for door masses up to 40kg.

Fire Safety: Minimum Fire-rated for 30 minutes on timber doors (FD30).

Common Dimensions: Most common size is 76mm x 51mm x 2mm.

Material & Finish: Constructed from high-grade stainless steel or steel, available in polished chrome, satin chrome, and matt black.

Components: Supplied in pairs with fixing screws.

Installation Note: Whilst 2 hinges can be used for most standard doors, 3 hinges per door are recommended to prevent warping and manage heavier loads.
